The Filmmakers Independent Review Showcase Toronto (FIRST) is a new initiative created by independent filmmakers for independent filmmakers.

It serves as a networking and preview event where Toronto-based creators can showcase their short films to their peers first, to gather feedback and discuss ideas before releasing a final product to festivals or public audience.

FIRST offers filmmakers the opportunity to connect, converse, and celebrate the local independent film community. All content remains in the possession of the creators, with films being shown through private links on platforms like YouTube and Vimeo, ensuring full control and privacy for the filmmakers.
